This hidden 2,600 sq. ft. lakeside lodge, which sleeps up to 14 people, is a wonderful place for a family getaway, spiritual retreat, or honeymoon. Located on 50 acres, The Congerosa offers extensive outdoor activities, such as hiking and walking, canoeing, swimming, fishing and boating (bring your own or rent at the marina). Classic wildlife of the American West--bald eagles, wild turkeys, hawks, turkey vultures--inhabits the property as do Ponderosa pine, California oak, poppies, and lupine.

The Congerosa welcomes varied relaxation styles. Looking for do-nothing tranquility? Sip coffee in the hot tub that overlooks the lake, shower outside, read a book by the fire, hike rolling meadows, watch the sun set on the lakeside bench, cook a gourmet meal in the full-service kitchen. The high-energy guest might enjoy an early morning swim or hilly run, an intense game of ping-pong, water skiing (bring your own) the 9-mile lake, barbequing on one of five decks.

Historic California Gold Country towns Nevada City and Grass Valley are 30 minutes away by car. Lake Tahoe's North Lake area, including ski resorts Alpine Meadows, Northstar, Squaw Valley, and Sugar Bowl, is about 1.5 hours away. Sacramento and San Francisco are 1.25 hours and 2.5 hours respectively.
